Scissor Fobs by Olive Hope

I’ve been contemplating designing some scissor fobs for a while, but I wanted to come up with something I hadn’t seen before. Plus, I know I always have difficulty fitting the lobster claw or other clip over my scissor, as I seem to have a larger sized scissor than they’re meant for. These meet both both of my criteria, in addition to the obvious requirement of being a pretty accessory for the scissors.

Today my son went on his first field trip without me (they went to the farm), and it was most of the day. In fact, we just got back about half an hour ago. Before I even got home I started feeling guilty for not going along, but I decided to plug away at my to-do list instead of making myself feel worse.

Creating these 2 fobs is among the things I accomplished today:

What do you think? Personally, I prefer the one on the right; the one on the left looks too blue.

I had thought my son would be tired once home from the field trip, that he might even want a nap. I should have known better. He was so excited about the hayride, the horse ride, petting the farm animals, and the bus ride that he’s hardly stopped talking since I picked him up. I’m glad he had such a great time – and I think next year I’ll plan to go.
